We have been successful with our first Impact Management Programme application. We will work with Murray Hall Community Trust to develop social impact systems and improve reporting.

The Impact Management Programme aims to build the capacity of charities and social enterprises to manage their impact so that they can increase their social impact and diversify their income. It is a two-year programme and will be co-designed by social organisations to ensure it is user-friendly and reflects the sector’s needs.

The Growth strand of the programme is aimed at organisations who are actively seeking investment or contracts. The programme will offer ventures training and grant funding to help them develop impact management systems that increase their ability to reliably drive outcomes and meet the needs of investors and/or commissioners. We expect to fund up to 50 grants over the life of the programme, and there is a total of £1.8m of grant funding available.

Our Project with Murray Hall Community Trust

Through collaboration with Acorn’s Children Hospice and St Giles Hospice, Murray Hall Community Trust has secured capital investment to develop an old health centre, now named The Bridge. It is being transformed into a transition centre for young people with life limiting illnesses who are moving from children to adult services, to provide age appropriate care and support.

Murray Hall Community Trust’s Impact Management work programme is supported by Cogent Ventures and covers the following areas:

Outcomes – refinement of existing impact map including a review of outcomes, and allocation of those outcomes as either short or longer term.

Programme Design – development and delivery of an outreach campaign with special schools, hospice movement and commissioner and development of processes and procedures for all aspects of the programme including recruitment, enrolment, core delivery, exit and post programme review.

Performance Management – Murray Hall Community Trust has made a decision to implement Social Suite, a Sales Force CRM plug-in, to support data collection and reporting and will use this system to develop outcome reports including a dashboard that demonstrates a journey of change for beneficiaries and highlights issues and opportunities for improvement.
